Stephen Ministry

Christ Caring for People through People

Stephen Ministers are lay people in our congregation who have received 50 hours of training in topics and skills related to caring ministry. They are commissioned by the congregation and provide ongoing Christian care to people experiencing a wide range life needs or crises. Feel free to ask any of us if you have any questions.

Seven Stephen Ministers to be commissioned March 14
Our seven new Stephen Ministers completed their training on February 29 and will be commissioned on March 14, during the second worship service. A reception will be held in their honor immediately following the service. These three men and four women have learned over the past 20 weeks how to provide spiritual guidance and compassion to those in this congregation who might be going through a difficult time or who might just need someone to talk with about a particular situation. Congratulations to Barry Smith, Kevin Hollembeak, Trisha Seguin, and Sharon Larson, for their fine work in training to be a Stephen Minister and their commitment to the people in this congregation.
